PTC stands for “Positive Temperature Coefficient”, meaning the temperature that the sensor detects is directly related to the sensor resistance. The higher the temperature detected, the higher the resistance coincides. This relationship between temperature and resistance is linear. During vehicle usage, the onboard ECU sends a constant voltage to the sensor. This voltage goes through the circuit loop of the sensor and feeds back the ECU a variable voltage depending on the temperature detected. PTC temperature sensor is generally used to assist to maintain vehicle DPF or engine temperature, due to its property linearity. PTC temperature sensor has excellent temperature detection accuracy.
Ceradex’s PTC temperature sensing elements are made from PT-200 in accordance with OEM standards. It provides excellent temperature detection accuracy. And with high-temperature tolerance sensor body materials, the PTC temperature sensor can withstand temperatures up to 900 degrees C against the vehicles burned after effect environment. To uphold quality and stability, every piece of PTC temperature sensor manufactured undergoes a strict multipoint resistance check to ensure sensor characteristic property before shipment. With 26 years of experience, choose Ceradex’s PTC temperature sensor for your next replacement needs!
