It is thought that Indian cosmetics and chemical manufacturers are continuing to eye Vietnam as a promising export market, with the market for exported chemicals increasing over the past two years.
According to Chemexcil statistics, India’s exports of dyes, dye intermediates and basic chemicals to Vietnam have reached US$114.02 million – increasing 5.85 percent over the past two years. Indeed such is the potential of chemical exports to Vietnam, there is currently an exhibition being held in Vietnam run by the Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Export Promotion Council (Chemexcil) and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s HCM City branch.
The exhibition is highlighting the potential of the market and is said to provide an opportunity for Vietnamese buyers to mingle and network with Indian manufacturers for sourcing products. The exhibition is hoped to further increase the link between the two countries and continue to increase exports.
The exhibition is being held at HCM City’s Rex Hotel.
