Do not miss 2020 TIBS - Asia’s Largest Indoor Boat Show

The biennial Taiwan International Boat Show (TIBS) will be held at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, March 12-15, 2020. TIBS features Asia No.1 indoor boat show with high proportion of International exhibitors, and supreme quality of the yachts on display, plus 7 exhibition areas including Yachts and Boats, Equipment and Accessories, Maritime Services, Luxury Corner, Diving and Fishing Equipment, Outdoor Leisure Product and International Pavilion zone.

TIBS 2018 attracted exhibitors from 10 countries (Korea, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Russia, US, Holland, Australia and Canada), with some 170 companies participating. In addition, the show had 726 foreign visitors from 32 countries, with a total of 20,821 local and overseas visitors over four days. 65 boats were on display, with 15 yachts and sailboats sold, creating US$12 million in turnover.

According to statistics for international mega yacht orders in 2018, Taiwan ranked fourth globally and first in Asia. This shows that the remarkable manufacturing capability present in Taiwan is gaining worldwide attention. Among luxury yacht manufacturers, Nova Marine Co. Ltd. signed up first, followed by Simpson Marine, distributor of Sanlorenzo, Beneteau and Lagoon. Also, many reputable suppliers of accessories have joined TIBS 2020, such as Solas, Li Chun Industrial Corporation, and God Power International Ltd.

The show venue is in Kaohsiung, which has lovely weather, natural harbors, and the Southern Taiwan yacht conglomeration. After attending in TIBS, buyers will have the opportunity to visit nearby yacht builders within 20 minutes’ travel. With support from the industry and related associations, TIBS has become the best yacht purchasing platform in Asia. Based on The World’s Billionaires list, 763 billionaires are located in Asia, giving Asia the highest population of billionaires of any region. TIBS 2020 will help exhibitors exploit this lucrative market. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will participate in major international boat shows in Fort Lauderdale in U.S.A., Sydney in Australia, La Rochelle in France to promote TIBS. Further, with high expectations for the potential of the Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian markets, numerous roadshow presentations will be held by TAITRA overseas offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and Korea in 2019.
