MiningWorld Russia is the Russia’s largest international exhibition focused on technologies and equipment for mining and processing of minerals. The exhibition holds the title of the ’Best exhibition in Russia’ on the subject ‘Natural resources, mining and quarrying’ in all categories according to the Russian National exhibition rating.
In 2016 the exhibition celebrated its 20th anniversary. Over the years of successful development MiningWorld Russia has become the leading exhibition for the mining industry in Russia, and an effective tool for helping participants to increase the sales of products and services. Participants, SOMEX and INDEQ-GEO also celebrated their company’s 20th anniversary at the exhibition. Marina Chelak, Project manager of MiningWorld Russia, congratulated the representatives of the companies and presented them diplomas.
In 2016 256 companies from Australia, Austria, Belarus, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and USA took part in the exhibition. 3 312 people from 42 foreign countries and 65 regions of Russia visited the exhibition during the three days.
Visitors to the exhibition got acquainted with the latest equipment and technologies for exploration, production, processing and beneficiation of minerals, mine safety, construction technologies in mining, laboratory equipment and materials, equipment and means of transportation of bulk materials, spare parts and components for mining machines, as well as technologies for environmental protection.
The exhibition business programme started with the International conference ‘Machinery and equipment for open-pit mining’ where representatives from Russia’s mining companies shared their experience, discussed industry issues and established new business contacts.
Moderator of the conference was Roman Poderni, Professor of the Department ‘Mining equipment, transport and engineering’ at the Mining Institute NUST MISiS. 105 specialists attended the conference and 14 presentations were delivered.
On the second day of the exhibition business programme there was held International conference ‘Gold and technologies’ . Representatives from global leading companies of gold mining industry shared their insights, discussed of current issues, developed partnerships, introduced new products and attracted investment. Moderator of the conference was Artem Romanchenko, Managing Director of EMC-mining company, Doctor of Philosophy, MBA degree holder, member of the Academy of Mining Sciences. Sponsors of the conference were Energolab, Outotec and Technolink companies. 168 specialists attended the conference and 17 presentations were delivered.
On 28 April 2016, International conference ‘Technologies of underground mining of minerals’ was held. On the conference 16 presentations were delivered on key topics including the development of underground mining technologies as well as successful case studies which have been implemented after previous conference. Moderator of the conference was Evgeny Kuzmin, Professor, Doctor of Technical Science, Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Head of Laboratory of VNIPIpromtechnologii company. General sponsor of the conference was VNIPIpromtechnologii company. Sponsor of the conference was Remote Control Technology (RCT) company. 110 specialists attended the conference.
In 2017, MiningWorld Russia will be rebranded so the corporate identity will be aligned with other MiningWorld exhibitions held in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine – all of which are part of ITE Group’s portfolio of international mining events. This will help visitors and exhibitors across the world more clearly identify the MiningWorld events and strengthen the brand name.
